If you might like to trade at the Whiteladies Road Market,
please take note of the following before contacting us.
We ask all traders at the market to consider our statement of Whiteladies Road Market CIC Values & Principles, and to embrace sustainability in what they sell.
The market is primarily a produce market, so we look to support local farmers, growers and producers who are selling their own produce and products. For those things that don’t grow locally we prefer traders with direct connections to the growers or producers.
We have a few pitches which we let to local makers or craftspeople. There is no restriction on what crafts are sold, but products related to the produce sold in the market are encouraged (i.e. pottery such as tableware, cards and artworks).
We are supportive of new traders / businesses that are starting up locally or are locally based. We don’t host national businesses or traders re-selling pre-packaged goods.
The Whiteladies Road Market operates from 8:30am to 1:00pm, so does not generally provide a market for street-food vendors.
We actively manage stall / product duplication to ensure traders make a reasonable return. So, we might not have a current vacancy for your produce or products.
We are occasionally happy to provide space for local community organisations, and sustainability charities, but not for individual fundraising.
All stallholders must have public liability insurance for trading at a market, with a minimum cover of £5m.
Anyone producing foodstuffs must be registered with their relevant Environmental Health office and provide proof of registration/inspection.
Anyone selling foodstuffs must comply with all current legislation in respect of hygiene, safety, packaging, labelling etc.
Any Gas or Electrical appliances need to comply with the safety restrictions detailed in the market terms and conditions.
Please read the Whiteladies Road Market CIC Terms and Conditions.
This includes full information on the requisite documentation and an application form that all prospective traders will need to submit.
No one can trade at the market unless an application form has been submitted and accepted, and attendance confirmed.
We look forward to hearing from you.
